Job Title: Sr. Software Developer

Job Duties:

Develops web based applications for verifying health insurance related eligibility, submitting referrals & claims & remittance data for medical professionals, using Java technologies including J2EE, Java Servlets, JSP, PL/SQL & Tomcat. Leads ORACLE database design, web server & database technology installations, load balancing & applications to develop software including transaction processing software for Electronic Data Interchange. Develops & tests Java project system administration and develops protocols for networking. He develops design documents for various parts of projects. He deploys application servers and maintains application production servers, accounts routine checkups (Electronic Remittance Advice). Oversees client IT deployment for servers to ensure configuration & communication; leads client transaction set-up & for systems detail, modules coding to ensure systems interaction through SOAP based web service; and collects & modifies query plan performance & runs query plan & deploys in production. Acts as liaison with customer service team to identify client issues, oversee issue identification, resolution & deploys code in production to software release process. Supervises work of junior programmers & participates on the interview panel & recommends new hires.

Requirements:

Masters Degree in Computer Science, IT or CIS plus 2 years experience developing web based applications with Java technologies (J2EE, Java Servlets, JSP development, HTML, XML, Ant, JUNIT) , PL/SQL, Tomcat, ORACLE DB, networking protocols, production support, & administration of server systems, Project document design with MS Visio or similar tool; X12 EDI transactions & practice management systems.
