What is Interoperability and Integration?

Simply put, your practice will no longer have to manage a Clearinghouse system and a Practice Management System. With HealthFusion, all clearinghouse functions are completely integrated into the billing and collecting system.

There is no need to track clearinghouse reports outside of your billing system, as HealthFusion's Claims Angel^TM Program does all of the work for you. Electronic prescriptions are also integrated with the Clearinghouse and Practice Management System in HealthFusion's e-Prescribe, and of course you can use the all-in-one system with our connected MediTouch^® Electronic Health Record solution as well!

Interoperable also means that the pre-visit process, including scheduling, automated eligibility checking, and contract and fee schedule management, are all integrated into claims management. Eligibility verification is integrated into the scheduling program and is automatic. A few days before the scheduled appointment, the HealthFusion system will check eligibility and benefits for you – and warn you if the member is not eligible!

Billing is the centerpiece of the HealthFusion system, and creating claims is simple with billing templates and episodes. For repetitive visit types, set a template (practice specific) or episode (patient specific) that includes all diagnosis, CPT (Current Provider Terminology), and modifier codes for a particular visit type. To create a bill, click just one time to generate a claim ready for electronic submission to a payer. Even complex encounters are now simple to bill with HealthFusion!

The post-visit process, including posting and applying payments with the fully integrated HealthFusion Electronic EOB^® / ERA module, automated Electronic Secondary Claim^® support with Coordination of Benefits (Electronic COB^®), and electronic statement generation saves time and accelerates collections. With electronic statements, conserve even more time and money by letting HealthFusion print, stuff and mail professional, customized statements to your patients with just a couple of clicks.
