A claim is really just a package of data sent to a payer, and it should be easy to track in the Internet Age. Long ago, when electronic claim submission was first becoming popular, there was no way to track an individual claim. Instead, users were forced to track individual claims as part of batches printed out on confusing text-readable reports. Unfortunately, most practices and payers have not modernized their claim tracking system. HealthFusion's Claim Tracker feature offers the user an interface to track the progress of their claims as they shipped from HealthFusion's Clearinghouse to the payer. In addition, the claim status sent by payers is also easily traced by the Claim Tracker on an easy-to-read Web screen.

Key Claim Information is Displayed and Tracked for Your Practice:

• The claim ID and the date the claim was accepted by the HealthFusion^® system for transmission to the payer
• The date and 997 ID (claim acknowledgement) for the batch sent to the payer or the payer’s gateway
• The payer status of the claim and the date of that status
• If the claim was resubmitted, the ID of the original claim.
